Reborn chapter 368

I thought this chapter was going to show more of Hibari vs Varia showdown (yes, Hibari is really about to fight them alone... I don't want Hibari to lose but it will be ridiculous to see the Varia boys getting pwned by a single person...-_-) but much to my surprise, this chapter was focused on Byakuran!

After Tsuna defeated Byakuran in the future, Byakuran was stuck in the nightmare that he created (where he defeated Tsuna). When he was waiting to die without any goal, Uni was the one who came to give him a life again. (Awwww they both are so cute in this page >_<)

Byakuran defends Tsuna's boss watch from Colonnello's second shot in Gamma's place and tells Tsuna to fight Iemitsu. A lot of people were saying Byakuran probably died from this shot but I strongly don't think so. I mean this is Byakuran we're talking about. Gamma probably won't withstand it but he definitely can. If Byakuran dies with this, I'm gonna be so mad because Present!Byakuran is really growing on me now and with all the great character developments he got, it will be a waste to let him go like this (but I know Amano-sensei doesn't really kill off her characters easily except very few cases like Damon Spade).

Anyway it was a great chapter that showed the bond between Byakuran and Uni. I hope Tsuna will man up and defeat Team Colonnello.

Reborn chapter 367

Happy New Year, everyone! ^O^ Anyway here's my first post of the year 2012. So everyone from the battle gets hit by Colonnello's shots (Noooo Fran's watch is broken now TOT) except Reborn's team, however Byakuran and Mukuro manage to prevent their watches from getting broken.

After Tsuna refuses to leave Byakuran to get defeated, Iemitsu declares that Team Colonnello will now fight Team Reborn as well (what a terrible father he is... TOT).

15 minutes before the battle takes place, Hibari comes to a hotel (supposedly invited by Dino?). It's almost too cute to see Fon on Hibari's head as if he has stolen Hibird's favorite spot. LOL

...and he meets Varia. LOL Wonder what will happen.

Remember in Uni's premonition, two teams will be going down during this battle? I wonder if Team Uni and Team Verde are going down with Colonello's shots. But who knows? Something totally unexpected might happen.

Winter 2012 line ups look awesome and it's a shame that I can't pick up too many series due to the fact that 1) Only Fate/Zero ended this season among all the series I was following (Although Fate/Zero will resume on April 2012 as it is a split 2-cour show) 2) I won't have time to follow too many series

It's good to see them again. Wai, Spanner kawaiiyo Spanner!! ^O^

So in this chapter, we learn that Verde's new device allows Mukuro and Fran to turn illusion to reality, which is quite fearsome. So it looks like Shou-chan and Spanner will try to create something to counterattack Verde's device.

Tsuna and Byakuran team up for the 2nd battle!
Yes, we've been waiting for this moment. When Yamamoto thanks Byakuran for healing him in the previous arc, Byakuran is like 'Nah~ I didn't think it would work, you were just lucky~' LOL. I'm still not used to Byakuran being so sweet. ^_^;

So yes, Team Verde (Mukuro, Fran, Ken & Chigusa) makes a sudden attack on Team Reborn and Team Uni. The 2nd battle continues in the next chapter! (which I'll be covering soon)

I personally don't think very well of Verde (as he is a jerk), I didn't mind Fran bullying him. LOL

Dino comes to Namimori school as a new English teacher to stay closer to his teammates (Tsuna and co.). ...and yes, he is hawt as a teacher. (But because Romario and co. are not around, he was slipping on the hallway LOL)

Yuni Kawaiiyo Yuni!!! ^O^
Yes, Yuni is as adorable and sweet as ever. But her premonition (about 2 teams going down in the 2nd battle) gives us a bad feeling.

Wai~ Fran ranked so high in popularity this time! ^O^ I'm glad he's getting more popular nowadays. (Well, he deserves it since he's so epic) ...and Hibari is still hot among fans. The strength rank is something new they did this time and not much surprise here. I'm hoping to see how really strong Fran and Kawahira-san are.

Anyway yeah Hibari being the representative for Fon wasn't a surprise at all since they are so much alike (in exception to their personalities LOL Hibarin can learn a thing or two from Fon's kindness).
...Poor Ryohei. His representative watch is already broken. Does Hibari not see him as a worthy opponent?

The biggest surprise from this chapter was of course the lift of Arcobaleno curse. I'm sure this is a temporary thing that activates during desperate situations but this means of course... We will get to see other Arcobalenos in real forms! (Fon, kyaaah~~ >O<)

Fall 2011 new animes

I've been watching a lot less animes than I uses to lately due to busy week days (I ended up dropping a few series in summer, uh well might pick them up again later). This fall anime season seems to be an interesting one because of the variety in genres as well as styles. As usual, here are the series I am interested in watching/checking out:

Will watch:
Bakuman. 2 (Following the manga and liked the 1st season)
Fate/Zero (I didn't like the first Fate anime that much but this one looks more promising in terms of animation plus Kajiura Yuki's soundtracks! ^O^)
Mobile Suit Gundam AGE (Yeah, gundam series is always in)
Personal 4 The Animation (Never played the game and the first Persona anime was not very good but this one had a very stylish trailer and I'm hoping it will be good)

Will watch if good:
Guilty Crown (Looks interesting as the hype says but certainly, many elements in this series are nothing new ; So I will see how this goes before watching it myself)
Hunter x Hunter (I've read some manga long time ago and I'm curious on this one after the greatness of Level E - which is by the same mangaka)
Kimi to Boku (I need at least 1 heartwarming slice of life series per season and this one's so cute)
UN-GO (Another Noitamina series along with Guilty Crown ; I love character designs especially Koga Yun's and will see how interesting this looks)

Will watch later probably:
Last Exile -Ginyoku no Fam- (I will watch the 1st season first before checking this one but probably later)

Waaah, so kawaii!!! I was planning on blogging last week's chapter as well (for Varia LOL) but since I missed to do so on time (as I was super busy last week), I will just skip it.
Anyway Varia and Mukuro's group come to France to recruit Fran to their side but it turns out that...

HE IS SUPER DIFFICULT IN AN UNUSUAL WAY.
Wahaha, look at him dancing in the top right panel. XD

Poor Mukuro, LOL. (Calling him 'pineapple fairy' right on his face hahaha...) I loved how this chapter had some of the good ol' Reborn humors to the max level. (Like their facial expressions LOL)
It turns out that Fran lost his memories of future so neither Mukuro or Varia wants him now LOL. (But I have a feeling Fran is faking it. You know this kid is cunning...)

FON!!! >__< Anyway good to see other Arcobalenos getting involved in this arc too.
So yes, Fran's back in Reborn. He is adorable and awesome as ever. But I hope he takes off that silly apple hat though... (Get something like a bear hood or something, LOL)
I wonder if Fran will transfer to Tsuna's school? (According to the next chapter preview sentence at the end of this chapter...) Aaanyway it's good to see the new arc looking so promising after the boring previous arc. (With Fran, we never get bored LOL) Anyway as long as Fran's around, most likely I'll be blogging Reborn chapters. ^O^

Kimi ni Todoke chapter 59

Third post this month already. It can't be helped since there are so many great manga chapters coming out lately!

Oh...Chizuru... Just how dense could you get. Didn't Ryu clearly say he likes you back then? I guess she did not take that seriously but NOW SHE KNOWS FOR SURE! LOL Ryu was so sweet in this chapter. ^O^

Well, we all know Ryu x Chizu is a definite but the biggest development in this chapter was of course:

KENTO X AYANE!!! >__<

Seriously, those two make a great couple! I know Kento tried to comfort her out of sympathy but hopefully those two will develop real feelings for each other too. ^_^

If there will be a 3rd season of KimiTodo anime, this Hokkaido arc will be the highlight I suppose? (I'm sure 3rd season is a matter of time just like Natsume~)

Bakuman chapter 139

This week's Bakuman chapter was downright AWESOME!!!!! This was easily one of the best chapters of the series so far! Anyway yeah, Eiji finishes Crow manga after long weeks of keeping top rank in the magazine. I didn't expect Team Ashirogi's PCP to beat Crow because that will be an uninteresting turn of event. I'm happy with how this arc ended. This chapter had such a strong conclusion that I wouldn't have doubted if this was a final chapter of this manga.

Eiji was darn adorable this chapter. ^O^ I really like the fact that Eiji constantly receives character development even though he is a genius. (...and how he met some of the greatest friends through the job he loves ^__^)

Yes, Bakuman's not over yet. Their true battle begins!

I guess Eiji will be absent from Jump for a little while now that he wants to do some researches. Will Team Ashirogi shine while he is gone?

Ao no Exorcist chapter 26

The Memory of Elliot Nightray + Impression on recent PH chapters

(Spoilers in the post, so please do not scroll down if you do not wish to be spoiled on recent Pandora Hearts manga)

So it is clear that Elliot is really gone in PH. PH is really not the same without Elliot (Well, at least for me...but I noticed that some people agree with me on the web). It looks like this manga is going to the real tragic route now in a way some Clamp series did. Well, it was getting pretty obvious that Leo is Glenn and I suppose he will be Oz's foe now. (Leo, Elly does not wish such thing...) It was kind of surprising that Vincent actually cared about Elly as a little brother ('cause I thought he only cared about Gilbert, who is his 'real' brother unlike Elly). Although I still don't like Vincent Nightray, I did somewhat changed my views towards him a bit. (Shock that Duke Nightray didn't even care about Elly's death... That bastard... T_T) Aaanyway while I see more tragedy coming along the way in later chapters of this manga, I hope Oz and his allies pull things off somehow. ...and I really hope that Oz doesn't die by the end of this series because that will be just too sad. TOT

RIP, Elliot Nightray. We all remember how noble and sweet you were.

I'm sure some people have expected me to blog this chapter. Well of course...How can I not write anything about it?

FRAN KITA---!!! ^O^ (...and yes, the three from Kokuyo too ^__^)
Daemon Spade makes an illusion of Mukuro's allies to take an advantage of the battle. (Yes... unfortunately they are illusions. Mukuro even mentions that it is so unrealistic to see TYL!Fran while the rest of them are present versions ; Daemon Spade, you are a failure LOL but thanks for the fanservice at least)

...but even as an illusion, he is darn adorable as ever. (...and quirky too, look at his line in the pic above. LOL)

...and yes, Mukuro was pretty cool in this chapter. (Although he is not very hot on my list)
Mukuro: Kufufu... You have a horrible taste, lady. How could you prefer that chibi frog over myself?
Fran: You are outdated, master. Denpa characters rule over Yanderes nowadays among otakus.
Shinsakura: ...that's not particularly true, Fran... -_-;;;

Spring 2011 new animes

Well it's about time another big batch of spring new animes to air. Among winter new animes, I only picked up Kimi ni Todoke 2nd, Magica Madoka and Level E. (...and I loved all of them) By spring, almost everything I'm watching will be ending except Fairy Tail (Madoka will not be over by March but I think it will end before May) so basically my weekly anime line up will change almost completely.

Elliot Hearts chapter 59

Well... I have seen the spoiler before reading the chapter so I had to be mentally prepared but...(sigh)

How beautiful those days were... (Oh I can still remember how cute Elly vs Oz arguments were...)

When Elliot is about to get consumed by Humpty Dumpty, he remembers about what he told Oz back then (About not giving up life easily ; Oh my god this scene was just forcing my tears to come out), allows him to get his consciousness back.

When Vincent asks Elliot whether he wants to be killed by him or Oz, he replies 'Neither'. (Thinking that he does not want to burden Oz, awwww...)

When Elliot seizes the power of Humpty Dumpty himself, he thinks of what Oz told him back then.

The chapter ends with Elliot in a puddle or blood. (Although his body's not showing) It is most likely that he is...well, don't make me say it. I was in tears while reading this chapter. (Let's wait for the next chapter before I conclude anything)

...and yes, it looks like Oz killed that darn Isla Yura.

...yes, Nanamine is such a jerk. (I feel sorry for Kosugi-san -_-;) Anyway the new Nakai was...well...certainly depressing... He's like an otaku who lost his dream. But I guess he will go through some character development in this arc. ...and more Hiramaru x Aoki please! ^O^

Anyway this arc is getting more intense. While Nanamine-kun is an epic yandere, we can't deny the fact that he is intelligent and works hard. Also the art has been pretty good in recent chapters. (Especially all the parts with Nanamine-kun)

On a side note, I'm really enjoying Bakuman anime. Okamoto Nobuhiki@Niizuma Eiji is just... EPIC WIN. ^O^

Reborn chapter 323

Another epic chapter this week. ^__^

Hibarin reminds me of Xanxus-sama here. (That bad@ss gesture LOL)

So this chapter concludes this battle with Hibarin's victory. (Hibarin's lecture about animals in this chapter was... Just WIN d-_^d)

I loved this scene. Hibarin was so epic WAO in this chapter. (While Fran is epic LOL whenever he shows up ^__^;) It clearly shows that Hibarin does look up to Tsuna. I'm hoping that Amano-sensei will give Hibarin more character development like this one. (Hopefully we'll get to see his past sometime as well)

Anyway now that Hibarin's battle is over for now, I probably won't blog much of Reborn chapters for a while unless something really interesting comes up again. (Yes, I'm so biased towards a few characters in this manga LOL)

Wow, Nanamine-kun is adding a whole new level of dynamic to this series. While I believe he is somewhat yandere(for popularity LOL), I find him to be pretty interesting. I'm lookin forward to see how this new arc will develop into now that Team Ashirogi (and possibly Eiji) has a new rival.

So it was Elly after all? I'm sure he didn't use Humpty Dumpty on his own. It must be the chain that got into him and has been using him by consuming his life. (Oh my god the seal on his chest is already at 9 o'clock, at this rate aaaarg waaaaah Elly... TOT) After reading this chapter, I get a feeling that Leo is the reincarnation of Glen Baskerville. Since Jack is speaking through Oz again, I'm sure we will get to know the truth soon enough. Oh, Mochizuki-sensei... Not only she brought another shocking twist in this chapter, she closed the chapter with another huuuuuge cliff hanger... I'm telling you, this manga has some of the most suspenseful cliffhangers in most chapters.

Usagi Drop anime has been confirmed to air this July in Noitamina slot and will be animated by Production I.G. I always thought Usagi Drop makes a perfect series for Noitamina slot but wao, it's really happening. I hope the team that worked on Kimi ni Todoke is animating this. Anyway I knew it was about time but best anime announcement I've had in a while. ^__^ I wonder if they'll do 1 season with Rin's childhood only since the manga's still ongoing.

Hibari's Vongola Gear = Totally WAO
This is probably the best outfit Hibari's given within the series. (Within the actual story ; Not on color spreads or anime pictures or anything)

I hope he doesn't lose or end up in a tie... But this is Hibarin we are talking about... Amano-sensei knows it too. :)

Also regarding some other things going on in this arc:
- D.Spade, that bastard... He was the one pulling the string? (How the hell is he still alive anyway? If he is in a spiritual form, I hope Giotto shows up in the same way and kick his @ss LOL)
- I wonder what kind of role Byakuran will be given in this arc. But I'm sure he is a good guy this time. :)

Fall 2010 new animes

It's time for another batch of new animes. Although I haven't done postings like this for a while as I haven't been following a lot of series lately, I felt like posting about it again as it looks like this season will be a pretty good one. (Although it's a shame that Giant Killing ended... TOT)

Haven't had postings on PH for a while but a lot of (crazy)things are happening in this series now... (Spoilers ahead)

- Lily, that %&$*#!!! Darn it, why did Reim had to fight this girl?

- Elliot's sister Vanessa gets killed as well (Nooooooooooooooo right in front of Elly too... TOT)

- Break suspects that Elliot is the headhunter but in the chapter 53, it is confirmed that he ISN'T (whew... but I have a feeling the headhunter is somehow related to Glenn Baskerville, who's soul probably resides in Elliot)

- Poor Elly is trying really hard to stay strong... TOT But Elly kawaiiyo Elly. >O<

- So those children from the orphanage including Philip made illegal contracts with the chain Humpty Dumpty, which is the real identity of the headhunter...

- I think Leo is the primary contractor of Humpty Dumpty but who knows... (You can NEVER guess what the hell's gonna happen in this series)

He's awesome, you know. ...and I'm so glad Fran made it into top 10 this time because he really deserves more love. ('cause he's epic LOL) But Amano-sensei,,, It would have been awesome if she drew all the characters that made into top 10 for the color spread... ...and Reborn anime ended this week with the episode 203. For the anime, I only watched some episodes(including the last batch of episodes) but I guess ending with the conclusion of the Future arc is for the best instead of going into a parade of fillers. I'm sure there will be a 2nd season of the anime or sequel OVA's.

Just like many other readers, I'm not happy about the fact that Tsuna and co. got totally pwned by Enma and co. (I mean what the hell... Tsuna defeated that Byakuran in the future...) Also they are upgrading Vongola rings already... (Vongola rings>>>Vongola gears in my opinion LOL) But good thing they are bringing up the younger versions of Shouichi and Spanner to the current arc. Oh my... the little Spanner is so cute! I can't wait to see him in the next chapter. Now if Amano-sensei adds the little Fran to the current arc, I'll be one super happy fangirl. LOL

Bleach chapter 415

I keep getting my hopes up for this series and keep getting disappointed at the same time. (But I'm blogging 3 chapters in a row, I dunno why myself LOL) I mean after all that bad@ssness, Gin is a total good guy now??? Well, that sure was a sudden development with just a glimpse of flashback. (But hooray for little Gin and Rangiku in the flashback) ...and not only Aizen survived, he now evolved into a Butterfree. LOL
I hope Gin didn't die with just that after all the hype.
On a side note, all the recent Bleach chapters seem to be ending with:
1) A character being slashed
2) A character(or two) making an epic appearance
3) A character showing off a new power/form

I have a mixed feeling about Bleach manga lately. At some point, it is showing some promising progression in plot(I kinda have a high expectation on Gin although the long awaited GinRan reunion scene was just way too short...) but at some point, not a lot of things are happening in each chapter despite how they all seem to end with some kind of cliffhanger. Anyway let's hope that Gin will betray Aizen soon... (Ya know...there is a limit to staying as 'The Mysterious Character of the Series' LOL)

I watched this one quite a while ago but now I write the impression on it. Yes, as most people talked about it, this series is AWESOME. The CG's used in this series are just downright gorgeous. The bunnies are totally adorable(Bota kawaiiyo Bota) and the action sequences totally kicked @ss. I hope to see more of it soon. (I hear that there will be more episodes but when???) I loved how the first episode ended in Hollywood style. (I can totally imagine both Perky and Bota as humans LOL)

Summer 2010 Animes Impressions

Ok...Even though I haven't watched that many new animes(this season is really dried, darn...) this season, I'll write up about them anyway.

Nurarihyon no Mago - Another anime based on a Shounen Jump manga. You guys know I love Shounen Jump and this one seems to be one of the rising mangas in the magazine right now so I wanted to check it out. The first episode did a fine job introducing the basic settings and some of the major characters of the series. (As for the manga, I only read first few chapters so I have no idea how the story develops) The visuals were quite pretty also. I guess I will keep up with this for now since I'm curious how things will turn out.

Sengoku Basara 2 - Yes, boys and girls. Basara is back! The first episode of the second season reminded me all the good things of the previous season. Yes, the serious comedies of this series are just pure golds. The actions were over the top as usual(which is great) and the good old Yukimura-Oyakata-sama gag was still here. LOL I'm hoping that this season will be better than the previous one in terms of the story telling. Oh and yes, Kojuuro gakkoiiyo Kojuuro. ^O^

Here are some impressions on 4 animes that I finished recently, which I enjoyed a lot.

Durarara!!

This has been an unique and exciting ride. Certainly, it could have been better in terms of pacing but I guess it wrapped up things pretty well for an anime based on an ongoing novel. Based on its popularity, we will probably get to see the second season in a few years or so.

Ookiku Furikabutte ~Natsu no Taikai-hen~

Why did this series had to be so short... TOT Anyway it was another great season for Oofuri and it's so sad to see it end so soon. This season was very well-animated with even more kawaiiness but I wish they slowed down with pacing a little. I hope Nishiura does better next time. ...now, how many years until the next season???

Full Metal Alchemist -Brotherhood-

So another epic series ends. After following this series for more than a year, I feel empty now that this(...and Oofuri) ended. This series will remain memorable for sure(much better than the first animation it had) as one of the best animes I finished. I'm glad Elric brothers found their peace after such a long journey. (...so their families and friends lived happily ever after...I would say?) So long, FMA!!!

Arakawa under the Bridge

This turned out to be a lot more enjoyable than I expected. This was an entertaining light watch and it served its purpose as a comedy/slice-of-life genre very well. I will definitely watch its second season when it airs. ^_^

Elliot Hearts chapter 50

Oh...Elly...

Well, it looks like I don't have much time to blog any more but how can I miss blogging this one? Yeah baby, this chapter was full of Elliot HELL YEAH.

Anyway in this chapter, we get to know more about Elliot and Leo's past. Leo is...well, certainly more interesting than I thought... But I knew there was something up with him since he had somewhat mysterious aura. But it was so funny to see how he went shut the hell up at Elliot when the two were fighting. LOL ...and we also learn that Leo is one helluva yandere. (This chapter was basically 'When Tsundere meets Yandere' LOL) ...and here comes the cliffhanger at the end of this chapter. Darn it, why did it had to be at that point. But it looks like we will get to find out the identity of the headhunter in the next chapter. (Dundundun! The tension...Arg..)

Yup, the young Dino's back! He was so gorgeous this chapter that even some random ladies invited to this ceremony made comments about him. LOL
Btw Dino's finally getting a character song this summer along with FRAN!!! and many others. (HELL YEAH!!!)

#2 - Varia

Yessss, the good old Varia's back. But I still prefer TYL!Varia. (But good to see Mammon alive) Xanxus is not present yet though... (I'm sure he'll show up sooner or later)

#1 - Hibarin

Of course when comes to wearing formal suits, Hibari definitely wins. Hahaha it was so surprising to see him coming here even though it's so freakin' crowded.

Oh and Naito Longchamp was also invited, which was a nice surprise. (Darn it why is he not in the anime...) ...and it looks like Yamamoto's injury is so heavy that he may not walk again!!?? I doubt that will happen though. (I don't think Amano-sensei will let that happen) It was kinda shame that Aria and Gamma were not present in this ceremony but who knows? They may show up later.

So yeah, this arc is getting more and more exciting and I can't wait to see what will happen next! On the other hand, I really want Fran back as well as uncle Kawahira. (There's a new floating info that Fran is 19 years old in the future - Then that means he's 9 in the present time?)

This episode's Mihashi moments (LOL)

Mihashi never fails to amuse me. The way Mihashi interacted with Hanai in such awkward manners was just so hilarious. (People thought Hanai was bullying Mihashi LOL) Mihashi did a great job as a batter in this episode and he even managed to earn a point by coming back to the home base.

So Nishiura wins against Sakitama with a called game. Sakitama boys were such hardworkers and likable even though their game ended a lot faster compare to Mihoshi's or Tousei's. (...and Icchan kawaiiyo Icchan) I feel sorry for Tai-san though... (Since he's the only senior year senpai in that team) Mihashi getting massaged while Mizutani is teasing him with a popsicle was... LOL

I watched episode 6 today also and I loved it but I won't blog about it... (If I were to mention about every single adorable & funny moment in Oofuri, it will be like super long post per episode LOL...)

Random babbling of the day - Giant Killing

I had a chance to watch the first 5 episodes of Giant Killing recently and since this was the only new anime I didn't write about in the spiring 2010 new anime impressions post, I'll just write about it now. Anyway I must say this turned out to be waaaay better than I expected and it quickly became one of my current favorite animes along with FMA and Oofuri. Just like Oofuri, this anime is more on the realistic side with a big focus on tactics rather than some over-the-top techniques and cliches. The storyline is very refreshing since the protagonist is the coach of the team rather than a player. It also has very solid direction that keeps the story going in such an engaging way and the chemistry between the characters are just excellent. The main characters are great too. (Especially like the four characters in the screen shots above ^O^) So far, I'm enjoying this series very much and looking forward to see more of it.
P.S. Murakoshi going hell yeah after getting that goal in(episode 5) was just epic~ ^O^

Bakuman chapter 83, Bleach chapter 401 & Reborn chapter 287

Bakuman chapter 83

This was easily the funniest chapter of Bakuman so far. So Mashiro and Takagi ended up spending whole day following (...well, more like stalking) Hattori in order to find out about his weakness. (but the two ended up seeing some funny things as well as overhearing some encouraging words from him) Hattori and Iwase scene was totally hilarious. LOL (...and the two overhearing their conversation and trying to hold their laugh was even funnier) So it looks like Takagi finally got an idea for their next project. Let's see how things will turn out.

Bleach chapter 401

Aizen ended up embarrassing himself in the middle of his speech. LOL

So more of Aizen's 'mighty talk' and then Urahara finally shows up! (...but I'm kinda getting tired of this 'epic appearance' pattern in shounen mangas LOL) It was hilarious seeing Aizen getting interrupted by Urahara's sudden attack while evolving (as in Pokemon... LOL). I wonder what kind of epic appearance Yoruichi will have...

Reborn chapter 287

So not much happened other than seeing more of Vongola people and Shimon people together. (Does Julie like Chrome? LOL) ...and as expected, Enma is the Boss of Shimon. I have a feeling there's something fishy going on with Shimon people...

Oh and there's no Jump this week... Which means it's gonna be a boring week... TOT Other than these mangas I wrote about in this post, I follow 3 more series currently running in Jump by the way.

Pandora Hearts chapter 48

Oh darn, only 2 pages of Elliot... But since this chapter was pretty good overall(although not as good as the previous chapter which was a pure win in many ways), I was fine with it...

A little late post but anyway~ This chapter was mainly focused on Oz, Alice and Gilbert sneaking into Duke Barma's mansion to investigate about Isla Yula(aka the creepy dude who might be messing with the Nightray household).

Oz pretending to be Jack in order to deceive Isla Yula(who seems to be a big fan of Jack Vessalius<=yes, this is the official way to spell it). Wao, Oz... He was totally cool. >__<

Oz enjoying himself after making fool out of Isla Yula. Haha, he sure is one smart kid. ^O^

Oz is the king of drama. LOL His perfect acting led him to be successfully invited to Isla Yula's mansion. (LOL at Oz's face here)

Anyway I have a feeling there will be some plot twists in the next chapter. I think we might get to see Elliot's mother(who is also Gilbert and Vincent's step mother) pretty soon. I guess I'll stick around to blog more Pandora Hearts for now~

Gosh, what a great chapter. So Hattori suggests that Team Ashirogi Mutou needs to come out with a serious manga with some serious humors in it'. I kinda get what that means. I like serious mangas with unintentional gags too. (Death Note has some so is Glass Mask<=this one has a LOT LOL and I love it) ...and Hiramaru's Otter 11 really looks like a great manga. (Why can't we have a manga like this one in Shounen Jump? -o-) Anyway Hiramaru was pure win in this episode. ...and it looks like Takagi got some clue when he looked at the post card from Hattori. Darn it, it's always painful to wait for the next chapter.

Bleach chapter 400

It looks like Gin is a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z.

So this was a pretty good action-packed chapter. It looks like Gin is pretty strong and his bankai's ability to extend 5 times faster than the speed of sound is quite fearsome. ...and most importantly Rangiku got her consciousness back and she saw Gin and Ichigo fighting!!! Since Komamura and Hisagi were involved with the battle against Tousen, most likely it's Rangiku's turn to shine. (Hell Yeah Rangiku) ...and about Aizen who is about to transform/upgrade, I'm not expecting much since as ridiculous as he is now, I'm sure it will be something out of this dimension again. LOL

Reborn chapter 286

Before I start, I have to note that from now on, I will not be blogging Reborn, Bleach and Bakuman every week. (Which I have been doing for a while) I'll cover all three mangas this week and probably next week also since all three of them ended with quite interesting development this week. ...and most likely I'll write about the upcoming Pandora Hearts chapter.

Anyway this was another good chapter. The fact that Simon family is such a small and weak family was kinda unexpected. ...and Hayato, Ryohei and Yamamoto's reactions at the news about Tsuna's inheritance ceremony was quite LOL. (Especially Hayato ^O^)

Tsuna daydreaming about marrying Kyoko. LOL (Wai~ Kyoko so pretty~ ^O^)

So Enma hates being involved in battles just like Tsuna. I feel sorry for him. (...and he got bullied again which made me sad)

After hearing cowardly words from Tsuna and Enma, Reborn hits some smash aces on the two of them. (Aww... Poor boys... But LOL it was drawn so funny...)

A new enemy shows up to interrupt the inheritance ceremony and Tsuna goes into hyper mode again. I hope to see Enma in action too.

Ookiku Furikabutte S2 - ep 1 & Spring 2010 new animes impression

Okay, I'm kinda late on this entry but anyway

KITA-------!!! ^O^

It's nice to see this series back again! ^O^ Oofuri season two(Ookiku Furikabutte ~Natsu no Taikai-hen~ as the full title for this season) started with a pretty good first episode with some nice slice-of-life moments.

Roka-san hidoi!!! TOT
Riou's older brother Roka is so mean! He called Riou a loser and said some horrible things just because Tousei lost to Nishiura... (But Riou kawaiiyo Riou LOL) He even asked Riou to get info on Nishiura using Tajima. I don't particularly dislike any character in Oofuri but I am not liking this Roka guy at all... -_-;

Mi-ha-shi!!! ^O^
Although Mihashi didn't have many lines in this episode, he was still pure win. Yonaga Tsunasa(Mihashi's VA)'s voice is just adorably awesome. LOL That soccer scene was so funny. (I bet Mihashi is not good at sports in general LOL)

Anyway I will try to blog this series from time to time but I cannot guarantee to write about it every week. But I want to blog about all the funny scenes involving Mihashi for sure. I love the new opening song by the way.

As for the new animes that aired this season, so far I've watched this one, Angel Beats!, K-ON!! 2nd season, Arakawa Under the Bridge and SD Gundam Brave Battle Warriors.

As for Angel Beats! I must say I'm kinda disappointed with the series... I expected something like Clannad(at least atmosphere-wise) but the first episode was not very good in terms of direction and characters. (...and most importantly, it wasn't particularly interesting despite the interesting setting it has) If this turns out to be better in the later part, I might pick it up again but for now, dropped.

I've watched the 1st season of K-ON! so I'm following the 2nd season also. I must say I'm still not very fond of this series but I don't mind watching since it's a light watch with frequent cute moments.(but as for 4-koma manga adaptation, I prefer Hidamari Sketch over this one) The first episode of the second season was a nice slice-of-life episode. Oh and I don't like the new opening. The ending is nice though especially the animation that goes with it.

Arakawa Under the Bridge is pretty funny. Some of the jokes were a bit overused but the first episode was entertaining in general. (I LOL'd so hard at that Kappa scene) ...and Kamiya Hiroshi did a splendid job voicing Kou. (It was so funny how he used various tones of voice for one character LOL) This series somewhat reminded me of Cromartie High School and Gintama. (...and Pyuu to Fuku Jaguar too, which hasn't gotten a TV anime yet) I'll definitely keep watching this one.

I don't have much to comment about SD Gundam Brave Battle Warriors. Each episode is only about 12 minutes long and the first episode was just so-so. But since it's a quick watch and I like SD Gundams(I've watched a few older SD Gundam series and I liked them all in general), I don't mind following this one either.

Reborn chapter 285

So Tsuna and Enma became friends for now. (Enma kawaiiyo Enma ^O^)

This scene was just so funny. Reborn's Tarzan cosplay was totally hilarious. (Ah, this was pretty much like how things were in daily life arc LOL) Poor Tsuna gets caught in the battle between Adelheid and Hibarin. LOL LOL

So in the end, Reborn reveals that the transfer students are from Simon family and they will attend Tsuna's inheritance ceremony as well. Now the thing is...will they get in Tsuna and other guardians' way? I guess we'll have to see about that.

...and naw, I didn't really like the fanservices used in this chapter. -_-;;; (But I found Koyo's nosebleeding scene funny LOL) Oh and Reborn got first in the ranking for this issue(the rank for the previous chapter I suppose), which was awesome. (I know One Piece was missing in this issue but it's still amazing, WAO)

Bakuman chapter 81 & Bleach chapter 399

With Hattori's advice, Miura suggested to Mashiro and Takagi to try for a mainstream fantasy manga for the next serialization meeting so they did. But what the heck, the editorial department didn't even accept it for the meeting??? Now that the two only have one more serialization meeting to count on in order to stay with Jump, Mashiro and Takagi gotta come up with something really impressive next. So Hattori's motive was to let the two of them learn about different genres... I kinda see where that came from because I think they can combine some none-mainstream elements to a mainstream story to make a really good manga. Bakuman is probably the most fast-paced manga running in Jump. (At least from the ones I follow) Each chapter is full of character and story development. I must say story-wise, this is easily my favorite Jump manga right now.

Bleach chapter 399

Gin is bragging about how long his bankai can extend, LOL.

So nothing much happened except some more fights... Gin's bankai is...boring to be honest. It just extends longer while it looks the same as before. I wonder if he'll go resurreccion in the next chapter. Gin better gets more character development than Tousen because I know a lot of readers are looking forward to know more about him.

P.S. Gin and Walker(from Durarara!!) really do look similar. Hahaha... ^o^;

Random babbling of the day - Pandora Hearts manga

I finally got caught up with Pandora Hearts manga recently(up to chapter 47) and I must say it's getting really really interesting. There are so many things revealed during those chapters but at the same time, there are still many questions left to be answered. Mochizuki-sensei's art is getting more and more beautiful and I love how she planned out her characters so carefully.

...oh and I must mention that,

Haha, he sure is an awesome tsundere character. It's a shame that Elliot didn't get much appearance in the anime. Anyway it looks like he'll be one of the major characters in the next arc of the manga so I'm looking forward to it very much. (I'm thinking about blogging next few chapters~)

So Shizuka-kun's True Human gets serialized while Team Ashirogi Mutou's KTM doesn't. I think the editorial department did that on a purpose so that Mashiro and Takagi can come up with even better names. (Another lesson for Team Ashirogi Mutou and their editor Miura: Don't be overconfident. ...something like that) It was good seeing Shizuka-kun trying to interact with more people too. Let's see how his new manga True Human does in Jump.

Bleach chapter 398

So Isshin and Ichigo did end up beating up each other but I was glad that Ichigo was able to get over the shock quickly and understood that Isshin had reasons to hide his identity as a shinigami.

...the best part in this chapter was of course,

Isshin showing his middle finger at Aizen while using kidou...

That was just a pure win!

Anyway, this chapter ended with Gin, who is about to show off his bankai. It looks like things will get more interesting starting next chapter. (Since Gin is much more interesting than Aizen as a character...)

What a fun chapter this was. ^O^

So basically we could see more of the new characters from Shimon middle school(We've seen all of them except Large the big guy). ...and there are 7 of them just like Tsuna and guardians. It looks like Reborn found out who they are at the end of this chapter so I'm looking forward to see how things will turn out. ...personally I'm not happy about how Hibari reacted to Adelheid's challenge.(<=she was more like blackmailing him) Is he going easy on her just because she's a girl? She's being totally rude though...(but it was nice seeing Hibari's WAO smirk) Not liking that Kaoru dude either. (Is he even a middle schooler? He looks so old... LOL) But overall, I really enjoyed this chapter and it was very funny also. ^O^

My favorite among the new characters is Aoba Koyo. Good look + Hilarious Character = WIN. It's so ironic how he looks like a typical prodigy and yet he's a hot-headed jerk like Ryohei. LOL LOL

Enma is still being EMO.

I kinda like the chemistry between Tsuna and Enma. Well, they have similarities and I bet Enma has sky flame like Tsuna. (I wonder if they'll have to fight each other... -_-;)

...and yes, they are so darn adorable. ^O^

Hayato was so funny in this chapter. I liked how this chapter had comedic atmosphere like the earlier chapters did. (Awww I kinda miss the daily life arc somehow) ...oh and I like that new character named Kozato Enma already.

I'm sure Enma is super strong when he's in the battle mode like Tsuna. ...and good to see you Hibarin~ (What the hell is that pile of papers? For club activities?)

Hibarin...Don't get beaten up by a new girl when the new arc just started, okay? I hope Hibarin will get lots of character development in this arc... (I mean he's cool but his character lacks depth and he's turned into a rather boring character lately...)

Yes, there's something definitely up with Enma. (His eyes look like...Sharingan? LOL) I wonder if he's going to be an ally or a rival in this arc... (Btw Tsuna... How could you get beaten up by some random bastards at your school when you defeated Byakuran in the future. Shame on you, boy... LOL

Anyway I must say the new arc started in a pretty exciting way! I wonder if the guy with glasses in the color page on Enma's side is Kawahira? Anyway I'll be looking forward to see how the story will unfold.

Takagi finally speaks up! Yes, so Mashiro and Takagi are quitting Tanto but they have to come up with something interesting in next 6 months in order to stay with Jump. Yes, that was a rash decision they made there but you know...young people chasing after their dreams can be foolish. ^_^;

Shizuka-kun sure has that aura of Yagami Light. LOL It looks like the next match will be Team Ashirogi Mutou vs Shizuka Ryu for the next serialization meeting.

Reborn! - Future arc talk

Since a lot of Reborn fans were talking about this topic, I thought I can write something about it also. It's basically what I liked and disliked about the future arc that ended recently.

Top 3 enjoyments
1) Certain characters that made their first appearance in the future arc (Fran, Gamma and Uni in particular)
2) 10 years later versions of the characters
3) Lots and LOTS of cool power ups for the guardians

Top 3 disappointments
1) Later part of the arc was too rushed with many characters not flashed out properly
2) Lack of Varia and Hibari
3) Some characters not showing up with their 10 years later versions (Naito Longchamp<=Too bad he's not in the anime, Lanchia, Dr. Shamal...)

Bakuman anime + chapter 78

The character design of upcoming Bakuman anime is revealed for the first time and they look totally awesome!!! ^O^ They look like they came right out of Obata-sensei's color pages. I'm sure this will be a great anime since they got the director of Honey & Clover with J.C. Staff involved.

...and as for chapter 78 of Bakuman manga...
I felt so bad for Mashiro and Takagi. I mean they want to end Tanto and the editorial department is not letting them since Tanto is getting kids' votes... (Marketing strategy, that's right...) ...and if they quit the series here, they have to leave the magazine...??? Oh geez, another cliffhanger end for this chapter. I doubt that Mashiro and Takagi will leave the magazine though...

Bleach chapter 396

So here are what happened in this chapter basically:
-Yama-jii apparently sacrificed himself, which means he's probably...dead? Wut?
-Ichigo did slash Aizen but his body regenerates...using the power of hougyoku implanted in his body...Huh? That hougyoku he left at Las Noches was a fake one then?
-Aizen revealed that Ichigo's adventure as a shinigami from day 1 up till now had been all according to his plan...What the hell?

...I MEAN, WHAT THE F*CK???

Can somebody tell me Ichigo is just dreaming here...? I mean not only Yama-jii is gone(well...who knows, he might recover...) without showing off his bankai, Aizen has been watching Ichigo since chapter 1 of Bleach...? Oh lord...Just when I thought Aizen could not get any more ridiculous, this chapter proved that his horror is just about to begin. TOT Maybe Aizen personally knew Isshin...? Well, I hope Isshin shows up soon...

Awww... Chrome and Mukuro... I hope Mukuro is not using Chrome for his sake as M.M. said... Maybe he intended to at first but I'm sure he really cares about her now. (Yeah, M.M.... You are just jealous, b*tch...) ...and Bianchi tells Hayato a story so that his misunderstood opinion towards his father can be cleared up.

Hell yeah, Colonello x Lal!!! ^O^ Awww... I'll miss hawt Lal of this future arc. TOT

So Tsuna and co. are finally back to their time! Good to see Tsuna's maman again! ^O^ I wonder if her memory about Tsuna going missing is gone. (Probably something is done with the power of Trinisette...)

Future versions are HAWT darn it.
Looking mighty fine there, Basil. Good to see future Chrome too. ^O^ Too bad we still could not see how future Tsuna looks like. (Well, I'm sure he'll look like Giotto-sama...)

So that was the conclusion of the future arc. The most interesting thing that happened in this chapter is with Uni's(and other Arcobaleno's) power, some people in the past now obtained the memory of the battles that happened in the future. (...and the page showed Dino, Mukuro and Xanxus of past... Now that should be something since they know what the future versions of themselves did...) Of course the biggest question left for now is who is uncle Kawahira... (Although I'm more concerned about Fran~ Gosh, there was no Fran at all in this chapter but hopefully the little Fran of past will have the memory from the future also...) Anyway Reborn is getting the lead color pages in Jump next week so I can't wait to see how the new arc will start off... I'm sure it will be epic!

Anyway great chapter this week. I loved Mashiro x Azuki moments and Miyoshi looked great in her wedding dress but Takagi...he looked weird with his hair combed like that LOL. ...and I like how Mashiro looks so manly now. (I like how Obata-sensei expresses the flow of time so well with his characters in his mangas - Hikaru no Go and Death Note were like that also) So yeah, stand up Team Ashirogi. Gotta beat Eiji with a new great manga.

Bleach chapter 395

If Aizen easily blocks or dodges the attack right at the beginning of the next chapter...Ichigo, you are so fired

So here is the summary of Yamamoto vs Aizen battle:

-Aizen had Wonderweiss as a backup to seal Yamamoto's zanpakutou (Aizen gets a point)
-Yamamoto's overwhelming hand-to-hand combat skill pwns Wonderweiss (Yamamoto gets a point)
-Defeated Wonderweiss blows up and injures Yamamoto (Aizen gets another point)
-Yamamoto grabs Aizen and gives him a surprise attack (Yamamoto gets another point)
So yeah, the battle ends with 2:2 which is a bloody tie.

Anyway it was sad to see Yama-jii getting injured so badly like that. I hope he's not dead. It was good seeing Aizen hurt though~ (Lose your cool already, you Mr. Know-it-all) I am looking forward to see how Ichigo, as a protagonist, will handle the situation.

So Uni and Gamma really ended up sacrificing themselves in order to send Tsuna and co. back to the past. (Noooooo TOT *sniff)

In the end, Byakuran still talked about how Uni was a mere tool for him. Damn him. He really deserves to get pwned by Tsuna's X-Burner. -_- But the surprising fact is that those girls from Cervello organization gave Byakuran his mare ring, which basically turned him into a bad@ss. I'm sure those Cervello people are going to be major villains someday.

So yeah, Byakuran is finished just like that. Wao, this battle ended faster than I thought but now I'm really looking forward to see what the next arc will be.
Actually there are some villains that are still remaining like Ginger Bread and Iris. ...and what about uncle Kawahira? What is he anyway? ...and Fran... In the end, he didn't fight for real... (Shame on you, frog!!!)
I must say this future arc had its ups and downs but overall, it was a very exciting arc to read. I'm sure Amano-sensei has more surprises for upcoming arc as well.

In the previous chapter of Bleach, we witnessed Wonderweiss stopping Yama-jii's zanpakutou. Aizen, who thinks he is so on top of everything, claimed that Yama-jii is so done for.

BUT

YAMA-JII CLAIMS THAT HE'S BEEN THE MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPION OF SOUL SOCIETY FOR LAST 1000 YEARS AND HE TOTALLY KICKS @SS EVEN WITHOUT HIS FREAKIN' ZANPAKUTOU.

WAO DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING.
This was a pretty good twist compare to some of the ones we've been seeing recently. Good job, Kubo-sensei. d^o^d Look at Yama-jii go. He moves like a ninja. (see the panel where he approaches Aizen)

Finally Basil does something in this arc!!! They are trying to break the barrier surrounding Uni, in order to stop Uni from sacrificing herself. (Uni, don't do it!!! TOT)

Gamma manages to get into the barrier and reach Uni. (Gamma gakkoiiyo Gamma! >O<) ...and Reborn asks Gamma how he feels about Uni. (=same as asking him whether he's a lolicon LOL)

Waaaaah, Gamma!!! >O< I don't care whether Gamma is waaay older than Uni. They are just adorable together.

This page was so touching. Now Gamma is contributing his flame to help Uni reviving Alcobaleno's. I hope the two of them will survive. TOT

Anyway another excellent chapter this week. I wonder what Fran is up to now? (He hasn't showed up at all for last 3 chapters or so... I hope he's planning for a surprise attack with a cool pose to finish off Byakuran or something<=really hoping)

Bleach chapter 393

So Bleach is back after a week of break! So we have a chapter full of unexpected twists(not particularly exciting though) this week.

So Yama-jii is finally up to the challenge. (Remember in my previous Bleach post, I wanted Yama-jii to be the next challenger? LOL) ...and he's saying he's going to sacrifice himself as well as all the fallen shinigami's to destroy Aizen.
Yeah...I guess he had no other choice since Aizen is clearly the biggest threat to the entire beings in the earth and he will not die no matter what kind of attack or tool or magic or science is used... (Hey, I'm being serious here :()

...and yes, Yama-jii doesn't want Ichigo to interrupt(because he's so powerless LOL) because he thinks shinigami's should take the burden.

But unfortunately Aizen had something else up on his sleeves. (Yeah, this guy must be ready to counterattack 999999999 different situations) He now reveals that he created Wonderweiss solely for the purpose of stopping Yama-jii's zanpakutou.

OMG the end is near.

I wanna doubt that Yama-jii is going to get defeated so easily. But you know this is Bleach we are talking about so we can never be sure. Let's hope that Yama-jii will surprise Aizen and pwn that stupid insect boy.<=Wonderweiss LOL (What the hell happened to Kensei anyway??? Did he get defeated off-screen? -_-;)
Anyway I must say this was a pretty decent chapter all around. (I just don't like keep seeing Aizen being so on top of everything, that's all... T_T)
Other Jump mangas that I follow weekly(Bakuman, Naruto and Reborn) all had pretty good or great chapter this week too. ^O^

Random babbling of the day - Glass Mask, Ashita no Ousama

Just some thoughts on 2 mangas that I read recently.

Glass Mask(Pic on the left): I'm sure many of you at least heard of the title. Yes, it is a very classic manga title that is still ongoing. ...and yes, IT IS SO EPIC. This is probably one of the best mangas I've read up to date. The character developments in this manga are just amazing. It really makes you to care about them and cheer for them. (Especially Maya) Also Ayumi is such a great rival character. I can't wait to read how this manga will end(the mangaka said she will finish this series soon). Another unique thing about this manga is when Maya and Ayumi train to get used to the characters they are playing, their process of 'realizing' their roles fully is like the ones in shounen mangas, where the characters get stronger through harsh trainings.(Very nice to see some shounen manga elements in a shoujo manga like this) The only complaint I have about this series is some of the lame "mean" characters, who tried to give Maya some random pranks here and there. But later in the manga, we don't really see ones like that so it's good. The art gets drastically better as it goes on also. (This manga started in 70's btw) Both Maya and Ayumi are looking very hawt now. As for the pairing... I think Masumi will end up with Maya eventually but I really REALLY love Yuu x Maya too. >__< I liked Shigeru x Maya too darn it.

Ashita no Ousama(Pic on the right): Yet another manga about stage acting. But unlike Glass Mask, the protagonist of this series is a script writer/stage director. I finished reading this one recently and I really liked it. Yuu was a great character and it's amazing how she changed from a totally boring girl into a famous and successful person. Just like Glass Mask, this series has such a strong cast of characters. The only complaint I have about this series is how they didn't show enough of "The Age Changing Mountain" play that Touya performed. Oh yes, the romance in this series was great. I wish they showed more of Touya x Yuu but oh well the ending was great and all so no more complaint.

Oah... What a yandere, Izaya... But I don't feel sorry for those girls since they were bullying Anri-chan...

So yeah, this is the manga adaptation of Durarara!! light novel. While I have not watched the anime yet, I find the manga to be quite interesting. It has such a distinctive and quirky set of characters with a good mix of mysteries. I'm also spoiled with one major plot twist in the original novel(something like *beep beep is the leader of Dollars... LOL), which I'm looking forward to see how it happens. But I have to admit that there are some disturbing moments in the series.
Maybe I should check out the anime since people are saying it's waaaay better than the manga. (But I like the manga's art better)

Sooooo bad@ss in a cool way

Although I don't write reviews on anime episodes much any more, I am following a few series regularly. Among the ones I follow, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood definitely tops my list. Yes, it's definitely a lot better than the first series we had back then in terms of story and character development. The best thing about FMA is that it has so many things that sets itself a part from most of generic shounen series. It has such a complex storyline like a seinen series while still having fun elements that a shounen adventure series should have.
My 2nd favorite series that I'm following now is probably Kobato. (Such a fun & adorable series)

An epic chapter this week~!

The ring from Lanchia blocks a critical attack from Byakuran and saves Tsuna. Wao, finally Amano-sensei brought up that ring to the plot. It's a shame that Lanchia hasn't showed up yet in the future arc.

1st Generation Guardians are lending them the power! My favorite 1st Generation Guardians are Araudy(1st Cloud Guardian-Hibari look-alike) and Rampo(1st Lightning Guardian-Adult Rambo look-alike).

I hope Hayato will get stronger too. (Since 1st Storm Guardian was Primo's best friend...)

Giotto-sama~!!! ^O^ Yes, at this rate Tsuna will go into Super Saiyan mode in the next chapter and pull a miracle move. (LOL)

So yes, I have to admit that this chapter contained some of the shounen manga cliches but they were done pretty well here so I wouldn't complain. It was also touching to see Tsuna's determination without being hesitant or indecisive. (Yes, look and learn Ichigo and Naruto) I hope Uni doesn't have to sacrifice herself to bring dead arcobaleno's back like Reborn mentioned in this chapter... But I'm sure this future arc will end with a good conclusion. Amano-sensei is doing great with drawings recently also. (I mean this series has one of the best arts in Shounen Jump too)
Now that I mention it, Bakuman seems to be suffering from loss of quality recently but it's still an enjoyable read so I wouldn't complain...

I knew Amano-sensei was going to add a major twist in this chapter! Awww... Lal gets to meet Colonello again... TOT ...and I was glad that Bel is delighted to see Mammon coming back. ^O^

So Tsuna appears to be dead at the moment...No wait, that's not possible. I'm sure he will reborn. Reboooooooooooorn! Tsuna! Oooh... Just like many people mentioned, it's too cruel to end the chapter at this point. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

We have an action-packed chapter this week but it's certainly not exciting to see Tsuna getting beaten up by Byakuran while others are watching like sitting ducks... Hopefully there will be a plot twist in the next chapter... (Most likely there will be seeing how Amano-sensei usually does...)

I felt like reading some kind of super robot manga in this page. Wao, doesn't that remind you of iron cutter of Mazinger-Z or what? Anyway very nice.

Even the name of the move is very super robot-like.

Somehow this week's Reborn chapter was a lot like this week's Bleach chapter. Like the main bad guys totally showing off how freakin' awesome strong they can be. Hopefully someone will do something and help Tsuna. (But I don't want Tsuna to pull a sudden miracle move and finish all by himself... LOL)

-I still don't like Iwase... Just give up on Takagi already, you stubborn woman...

Top 5 bishies with white/silver hair

Okay, so I came up with another boring top 5 thingy to write about in my blog. I think characters with whitey/silvery-colored hairs seem to be popular in animes so here's my very biased top 5 bishies with white/silver hair.

#5 - Gokudera Hayato (Reborn!)

So #5 on my list is Vongole's Storm Guardian Gokudera Hayato. I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of Hayato but I really admit that he's one of the most stylish characters in Reborn. Also he is quite likable... Like how he tries to act all tough and manly around but is still very much a BOY LOL. ...and his smile makes him adorable at times too, haha.

#4 - Heine Remmschteiner (Dogs)

#4 on my list is the protagonist of Dogs, which isn't really a well-known series. While the anime was meh so-so, the manga is getting quite interesting. (Except the awkward pacing of the manga with not enough pages in each chapter...) What makes this series really interesting is the set of interesting characters and of course Heine totally kicks @ss. Heine is totally cool, yes. He's a real tough one, yep. But he's also very fragile, which gives an extra touch to his character. (...and plus he's voiced by Sakurai Takahiro in anime, what more can we ask???) I hope Dogs ~Bullets and Carnage~(<=Full title of the sequel after the prequel manga, which the anime was based on) gets a TV anime someday. (Right now, it's too early given the amount of manga we have)

#3 - Sakata Gintoki (Gintama)

Awww... Poor Gin-san...
Since we are talking about "ginpatsu"(meaning silver-haired in Japanese) here, we can't NOT include this dude. Haha. So #3 on my list is Ginpachi-sensei, no... Gintoki from Gintama. This guy is just hilarious... Definitely one of the wackiest Shounen Jump heroes so far... But when he gets serious, he can be pretty cool too. Yes, Gintama is definitely better when it comes to serious story lines. <=biased opinion again

#2 - Superbia Squalo (Reborn!)

Okay, so #2 on my list is Varia's hawt battle commander Squalo-taichou~ Yes, another character from Reborn...(because I love this series LOL) Just like other Varia members, I didn't really like Squalo at first.(but not Fran since I liked him from his debut LOL) But from the future arc, he really grew on me. We can definitely tell that he really cares about Tsuna and co. in the future. ...and yes, his hair is awesome. Geez, I wanna touch that long beautiful hair of his...(Squalo: NOT A CHANCE, B*TCH!) What shampoo does he use anyway???

#1 - Takemoto Yuuta (Honey & Clover)

So yes...#1 on my list is Takemoto Yuuta from Honey & Clover. (Yeah, I know it's kinda unexpected to some of you) Honey & Clover is definitely the best slice-of-life anime I watched so far. It was such a beautiful series... Whenever I play the very last episode of the anime, I feel like crying like this during Yuuta x Hagu scene. I know a lot of people prefer Shinobu over Yuuta but I prefer the other way around like 10 times more, whew...<=biased opinion once again LOL Hagu...you gotta go find Yuuta after you get well otherwise you'll never find a man like that EVER in your life. Sorry, I talked too much here. Yes, Takemoto Yuuta rocks and he really deserves a good future.

Pretty good chapter this week!!!

So Tsuna defeats Ghost and everyone's like WAO until they notice that something is wrong.
(Fran going Woot~ in the first panel is just...priceless... >__<)

GO! TSUNA! KICK HIM! WHACK HIM! SMACK HIM! YEAAAAH!
I can feel Tsuna's rage! I mean Byakuran gave so much pain to his friends. You go Tsuna. d-o-d Give Tsuna a chair and this scene will easily turn into a wrestling match. (LOL)

Wait, I feel like I've seen this before.
Oh yeah, right. In Bleach...

Nice pair of wings you got there, Byakuran... But too bad you are going up against like around 20 people.

P.S. Xanxus-sama, do you still hate Tsuna that much? T_T
P.S.2 Congrats to Hibarin for winning gakkoii chara award for Shounen Jump recently. Although he had like 0 line for last few chapters or so... (But even in small panels, this guy really shines...)

Bakuman chapter 69

Good to see this series back too. But for a slice-of-life manga, Bakuman ends in too many cliffhangers!!! Anyway Nakai...that idiot... Now he's quitting manga after getting dumped twice? But I bet he'll be back somehow. ...and I knew Tanto was not a good choice for serialization. Team Ashirogi Muto seriously needs a decent editor. I hope they can come out with something good for next serialization meeting. Oh and Fukuda gakkoiiyo Fukuda!!! (He quickly became my favourite character within last few chapters)

Weekly Shounen Jump is back after 2 weeks of hiatus!!! Wao, it was such a long wait. Anyway good to see Reborn back.

He's like you are f*cking late when Squalo is all bruised and stuff... Levi and Bel are like getting pissed off at the fact that Squalo is alive... (Bad boys LOL) I appreciate the fact that Fran is always entertaining. ^O^

Yes, Tsuna was really cool this chapter. Now that he entered the battle field, let's see what the fight becomes of.

P.S. Hopefully things will move faster now that the battle is getting intensive.
P.S.2 I really wanna see Fran fight and show off his AMAZING BOX WEAPON that he mentioned in this chapter. (I know a lot of fans think the same)

Bakuman chapter 68: Wai, I'm really liking the pairing idea of Fukuda x Aoki. Haha, Fukuda really reminds me of Squalo. (I hope he will have same VA as Squalo in the anime ^O^) Ouch, another cliffhanger before hiatus... I hope Tanto doesn't get serialized because I really think Ashirogi team should draw something serious.

Bleach chapter 387: So Tousen really died in this chapter but in a rather pitiful way. I'm glad at least he opened up his heart to Komamura and Hisagi before dying. Poor Hirako... His shikai was cool but it was STILL no use against that mighty Aizen... (but at least Aizen showed a lil surprised look in this chapter) So...Ichigo finally arrived at the scene. I hope he's not gonna get pwned by Aizen so soon after all that expectation. -_^' (Wouldn't that be so freakin' hilarious?)

Naruto chapter 477: More Sasuke vs Danzo... Danzo is like a mutant monster now, pfff. ...and Itachi appeared at the end as an illusion? This whole genjutsu thing reminds me of Mukuro and Fran's abilities. Let's see if Danzo can survive this arc.

Reborn chapter 272: First of all, I'm not happy about the fact that Ghost interrupted the battle's flow so bad because I wanted to see Vongola & Varia pwning Bluebell, Kikyou and Zakuro. ...and Fran's box weapon...pfff little Bel? I'm sure that's not its true form. I mean WHERE'S YOUR FREAKIN' POSE? FROG BOY!!! But it was funny to see how calm Fran was while other ppl with rings were like noooooo my flames are getting absorbed~~~ I liked Mukuro and Chrome's reunion scene too... (I hope Mukuro finds out that it was M.M. who slapped Chrome. I mean what the hell, b*tch...) So Tsuna is about to join the messy battle between Ghost vs Vongola & Varia & Kokuyo. I'll be looking forward to it. ^O^

Top 5 Anime Shota's

Since many other anime bloggers seem to do 'top 5...' or 'best 5'(or even best 10) posts a lot, I decided to do one. The reason I'm doing top 5 anime shota's is that it is easier to narrow the list down compare to best bishies or bishoujos or even loli's. (...and no, not because I'm a shotacon...)
Just to let you know that this list is entirely based on my opinions and can be biased a LOT. (Yeah, most posts like this are biased aren't they?)

#5 - Okita Sougo (Gintama)

Okay so #5 on my list is the pretty boy(but a cheeky bastard LOL) from Gintama, Okita-kun. Well yeah some people might deny the fact that he's a shota but well I think he is, considering that baby face of his...I haven't watched or read this series for like looooong time but I still remember how funny Okita-kun was. I really like the way he talks also. (Apparently he speaks in Edo accent, some people said) Definitely one of my favourite characters in the series! ^O^

#4 - Edward Elric (Full Metal Alchemist)

#4 on my list is the great Edward Elric~ (...and I can hear him yelling for calling him a shota already... Grow up, kiddo if ya don't wanna be one ^_^;) He's definitely one of the most awesome anime protagonists up to date. Not only he's intelligent and brave but he's got a heart of gold. I really like how he's even more animated in the 2nd season plus he's got more variety in fashion than in the 1st season. LOL Let's see if this little guy really becomes together with Winry. ^O^ (Ed: Wut???)

#3 - Mihashi Ren (Ookiku Furikabutte)

#3 on my list is Mihashi-kun, who is probably the most adorable boy in Oofuri. ^O^ I know some people are annoyed by Mihashi's indecisive character but I don't mind that at all. Well, he's my favourite character in the series anyway. ...and I already posted the news about Oofuri anime 2nd season recently. Well, Mihashi is one of the reasons that I find this series enjoyable. ^O^ I'm looking forward to see how much he gets better in the 2nd season.

#2 - Fran (Reborn!)

Tie...Fran...Your tie is done wrong!!! (Pffff)

#2 on my list is Varia's gothic teen(whether he's a teen or not is still a mystery though...) Fran, who is also my favourite character in the series. (Yeah...Hibari got pushed to 2nd...*runs away from Hibari*) This guy...is really something. He made me laugh starting from his debut chapter with that unique character of his. He sure has a strange charisma...Like how he refers to himself as "Me" and the way he speaks in keigo with that monotone voice. His anime voice is extremely charming too. (Squalo taichou~ Bel-senpai~ *$#@&^% kudasai~~~~ LOL) You know he's like a Reborn version of Okita Sougo in a lot of ways LOL. Anyway I hope to see his full potential soon in the manga. (Oh and take off that hat too please...Bel, how dare you making a little boy to wear that heavy & stupid hat...)

#1 - July (Darker than Black)

So adorable.

So #1 on my list is July from DtB. Some of those who watched the 2nd season of DtB might agree with me on this one. I mean he had such a great character development in the 2nd season... Also he was so adorable and fun. (<=Even though he was quiet, seeing him interacting with other characters was so much fun in my opinion) He was not a major character in the 1st season at all but I'm glad the anime staff gave him extra touch to his character in the sequel. I haven't finished watching 2nd season yet but I'm already spoiled with the ending. Awww... The ending is so rushed... But I'm glad Suou and July were able to meet each other again~ (Talking about Suou, she deserves this year's best loli award... ^O^)

Oh yeah so that's it for this boring post. I'll do a different top 5 thingy if I come up with something.

P.S. Apparently weekly shonen jump came out this week so yay~ but I hear it will be on break for 2 WEEKS??? Nooooooooooo that's even worse!

We have a really funny chapter this week. LOL 2 things granted in this chapter.
1) It was indeed Fran-centric(comedy-wise that is) even though there was hardly any action. Fran was totally hilarious, hahaha.
2) Last week, I said Bel's pictures were drawn too small. Well, guess what? We had plenty of Bel this chapter. All drawn nice too. Shishishi~

Okay, quite long post this week.

Bel asks Fran why the hack they had to die in the illusion and Fran is like LOL senpai you are missing the freakin' point here, it had to be realistic and illusions are like pranks RIGHT master?
(Fran is like a baby compare to Mukuro when you compare the two standing together like that. Kawaii~ >O<)

Then Mukuro answers that Fran is wrong. LOL Fran is like ooooops and Bel is like you little ****. When Fran says it's probably master's hobby blah blah and Mukuro porks his hat. (Don't worry, people~ He's only porking Fran's hat. It's like those magic tricks with swords and boxes...)

Fran and Bel are so funny. (They are like comedic duo of this series)
...and Fran calls Mukuro pineapple hair(which is true but you shouldn't say that out loud, little Fran~) and gets his hat porked again. Pffffff But ppl are surprised that it was Fran who saved Mukuro. (Yeah, who knew this baby officer of Varia was the one to trick those big scary people at Vindice)

Fran telling Ken to shaddup... Pfff that kid sure likes being sarcastic. But the funniest part was when Kikyou admits that it makes sense if Mukuro's apprentice was the one who got Mukuro out of Vindice, Fran is like yay I'm a celebrity now master and gets his hat porked again.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! FRAN FTW!!!!! ^O^
Even though Mukuro was annoyed by Fran in this chapter, I'm sure he does care about his lil student.

So...I ended up blogging about Bleach chapter again. Aaanyway, Tousen's transformation wasn't Venom but...a grasshopper???

MOREOVER, HE CALLS KOMAMURA...UGLY???

...and Tousen gets pwned by Hisagi. (which was like the biggest WTF of this chapter) Good job, Hisagi-san. d-_-d That grasshopper really deserves it.

I probably won't blog about Bleach for a while(unless something really WTF happens in the manga). Anyway Reborn post coming soon. ^O^

Bleach chapter 385 - The many faces of Tousen Kaname

When he snapped in this chapter, he could not control his anger that he had to break his egg mask to speak up. (I mean to practically yell at Komamura...)

Why did I blog Bleach chapter out of blue? I just felt like mentioning this. Tousen seriously pisses me off... He talked so trash to captain Komamura and now he's going total monster now? Okay, so that was an amazing chapter!!! So basically what happened is Mukuro and Fran used illusions so that those bastards will think they have defeated Vongola & Varia. (But even as illusions, the scenes where Hibarin and Xanxus were getting pwned were still painful to see, ouch TOT) I'm sure some people are reminded of Getbackers. Now we need someone saying Mido Ban's line.

Why so little pictures this time? Because I did not want to upload the pics of fake Vongola and Varia getting pwned. TOT (...and the illusion scenes of Vongola & Varia in grudge mode were pretty creepy too. Mukuro and Fran sure love horror movies. LOL)
Well, Bel was pretty cool this chapter but all the panels he was in were so small so did not feel like uploading them.
(That "Ciao" was priceless btw...)

Anyway I'll be looking forward to the next week's chapter and hopefully Fran will have a main spotlight rather than having Mukuro do 3/4 of the job. (I mean Mukuro is awesome but we have already seen what he's capable of...)

There is a news that Bakuman is getting an anime next fall! Wao, I expected that to happen any time soon since its tankobon sales are great. I wonder if Mashiro is going to be voiced by a female VA? Anyway I'll watch it for sure when it comes out since this is one of my favourite series in Jump.
Speaking of Jump, Nurarihyon no Mago is also getting an anime. Maybe I should pick up the manga again?

So Hibarin actually shows some respect to Ryohei in this chapter. WAO Hibarin, you've changed. ^O^

Oh no! Is Hibarin defeated just like that? I'm thinking somebody else took the hit. (Probably Kusakabe?) Anyway find out in next chapter. (Dundundun- I hate cliffhangers -_-;;)

Anyway a pretty good chapter again with Ryohei's awesomeness and Hibarin even without Varia. (But Fran, get your @ss here and fight already) It's been a while since Ryohei was in decent action so I hope he doesn't get defeated by Kikyou badly.

Bel's storm mink is just like its master. (Creepy & Cute LOL) When Hayato(yeah, I like calling him Hayato instead of Gokudera since it's a cool name ^O^) tells Varia that Squalo has been defeated, they are like LOL is he dead. I feel sorry for Squalo... (What friends you have... TOT)
Btw what does Xanxus do to look that young??? (He looks way younger than how he looked 10 years ago... WAO I think Squalo looks cooler after 10 years too ^O^) I guess some men really get finer when they reach their 30's. LOL

Tsuna no mama kawaissu!!! In order to awake Rambo's flame, Ryohei mentions about Tsuna's mom as Reborn advised.

1st Lightning Guardian is cute. He looks just like adult Rambo. ^O^ Anyway the little Rambo manages to activate his Vongola box. Good job, Ryohei~

A pretty good chapter overall except... not enough Varia.

If next chapter contains no Varia, I'm gonna be so disappointed. LOL

Gundam 00 Voice Actor Single 5 & 6

I recently realized that more character singles for Gundam 00 popped up out of nowhere while I was not paying attention. Anyway since I had a chance to listen to them, here are my reviews.

Gundam 00 Voice Actor Single 5 - Saji Crossroad

Saji looks handsome here ^O^

Track #1 - Voice ~Koko kara hajimaru ai~: Irino Miyu sings really good(I loved his Zwei character songs for Phantom) and this single did not disappoint me as expected. Just by looking at the title, you can see that this is a love song. It is such a romantic song indeed. (I think he's singing for Louise here, how sweet~ ^O^) Background music for this song is great too.

Track #2 - Paint the Sky: This one is a very refreshing and energetic song that shows Saji's cheerful side. I like this one a lot too. ^O^

Gundam 00 Voice Actor Single 6 - Feldt Grace

WAO so beautiful TOT

Track #1 - Inori: Takagaki Ayahi's voice is so angelic, WAO. The first time I heard her singing was her character song from Special A and she sure sings great! I think the best word to describe this song is serene.

Track #2 - Justice: When I first saw the title of this song, I was like Feldt, you go and show your spirit as a member of CB. You go girl~ We can definitely get a glimpse on Feldt's brave character in this song. It sounds somewhat mysterious though. (Kinda like Ein from Phantom who was also voiced by Takagaki Ayahi) Anyway it's a great and unique song and I personally like this one better than the first track.

Gamma kita---!!! ^O^

It's very rare for me to blog about manga for 2 chapters in a row but I really wanted to post about this. Gamma gakkoiiyo Gamma!!! I knew it was about time he shows up! (Nozaru and Tazaru are here also) Oh and this chapter also had the result for latest popularity poll for Reborn. Congrats for Tsuna to get 1st rank again! (Ichigo and Naruto should learn how to get 1st in popularity poll when they are protagonists too... -_-;;;) I'm happy with Hibarin in 2nd too. (Since Tsuna is the protagonist and all~) How come Amano sensei didn't include Xanxus who got 5th in poll in the colour spread too??? (She only drew characters that won 1st-4th rank this time; No fair!) If she included 10 years later Xanxus, that would have been a perfect pic... TOT Fran(My 2nd fav after Hibarin) was 11th... I hope he gets more screen time so that he can kick some @ss in next popularity poll. Good to see Dino and Squalo so high too! ^O^

Fall 2009 Season

Ok, so here are my thoughts on new animes I watched this season.

Inuyasha Final Act - In terms of visual and audio effects, nothing much changed from the previous season. However, I found the pacing of the first ep a lil too awkwardly fast. But it was good to see all the familiar characters and actions.

Kobato - I was kinda looking forward to this as I generally like work by CLAMP. As expected, this series is cute and charming with fun interactions between Kobato and Ioryogi(Who has the same voice as Kurogane pff). I also liked how they managed to make the art so similar to CLAMP's style. Oh and Kobato kawaiiyo Kobato!!! ^O^

Kimi ni Todoke - I read some of the manga and I loved it so I was kinda worried that the anime won't be as good as it. However, they proved me wrong and I was surprised at how close they drew characters to the manga. Yes, both Sawako and Kazehaya are soooo cute together. I loved all voice actings also. (Especially Kazehaya@Namikawa Daisuke)

Darker than Black-Ryuusei no Gemini - ...and yes, my most anticipated series of the season. This one had simply the most exciting first episode so far and I'm really looking forward to every week for new ep. (Just like FMA 2 ^O^) Suou kawaiiyo Suou! (So much kawaiiness this season) ...but ZOMG what happened to you Hei!

Fairy Tail - This one turns out to be better than expected. I enjoyed the first episode, which was funny and cute. The only thing I found a lil lame was how they emphasized all the magic spells and cool moves. Oh and Natsu@Kakihara Tetsuya was a pure win too. ^O^

Haha it's been some time since I blogged last time? Anyway I felt like posting this since Hibarin hasn't fought for like ages in Reborn and he finally got a spotlight in this chapter. (but why couldn't his battle be longer when they spent like 3+ chapters on Yama's previous battle! -3-) Anyway his new weapon is...a...very unique one? (Sir chief Hibarin!) I wonder if it's gonna take another months and months until we get to see him fight and kick some ass again. Wanna bet? Me blogging next post or Hibarin fights another time. Who will do it first?
